From 22 till 25 May 2016 the Institute of Philosophy of the Russian Academy of Sciences, University of Suleyman Demirel in Almaty, University of Suleyman Shah Istanbul and the International Institute of the Development of Science Cooperation held a IV International philosophers meeting in Almaty - a recognized scientific and cultural center of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The conference was attended by leading philosophers and other representatives of the academic and university sciences from Russia, Turkey and Kazakhstan.
Participants of the IV meeting of the philosophers hope to provide a rich intellectual idea for the exchange of views and to contribute for building a "bridge of understanding" between the Eurasian countries.
The topic of the meeting was "Philosophy and Culture in the context of the global challenges of our time." Some discussions were also held during the meeting, their topics were counteracting terrorism with non-violent methods, tolerance and dialogue between Christians and Muslims.
