Russia and Turkey are two neighboring countries with multifaceted relationship which is constantly developing along with the increase in the volume of bilateral trade, which reached 30-35 billion dollars, social and cultural relations are also rapidly developing. On the territory of the Russian Federation permanently residing around 60-70 thousand Turkish citizens. In Turkey, the permanent number of Russian citizens is about 300 thousand. In addition, each year a number of tourist trips is growing, now there is no need for a visa. The development of relations in various fields of life of Russian and Turkish societies and the states, of course, give some rise to certain problems.
We believe that the meeting of the Russian and Turkish intellectuals creates an atmosphere for exchange of opinions on a wide range of issues and will contribute to solution of the problems that have arisen in the result of the development of such a relationship, the direct participation of scientists and experts from its various regions.
